Spokane 2023 Summer Programs
Can you believe that summer is already around the corner? The Spokane Parks and Recreation Department offers dozens of different camps and programs for kids throughout the summer, with activities to suit every taste. Camp Reed – 1152 Fan Lake Rd W, Deer Park, WA 99006
With a 3-day, 2-night overnight camp for young children and a full-week camp for kids in grades 3–9, Camp Reed offers options to suit every family. Kids will get to enjoy a wide range of activities under the guidance of the counselors, including boating and swimming. This camp is offered for one week only, starting on June 19, 2023, at YMCA Camp Reed. -
Camp Invention – 4224 E. 57th Ave., Spokane, WA 99223
For kids who love to learn and exercise their creativity, few camps can top what Camp Invention has to offer. Kids will enjoy 5 days of fun, hands-on educational activities, learning about everything from the deep seas to outer space while developing their STEM skills. This camp is open to kids grades K–6, and begins on June 27, 2023, at Moran Prairie Elementary School. -
Spokane Children's Theatre Camps – 2727 N. Madelia St., Spokane, WA 99207
Do your kids love to perform? Then they're sure to enjoy hitting the stage at Spokane Children's Theatre Camps, where they'll learn all about the performing arts in a fun, encouraging setting. Kids will spend their days acting, singing, dancing, and discovering all that goes on behind the scenes of a great performance. There are weekly sessions beginning on June 30, 2023, open to kids aged 5–13. -

If your kids love outdoor adventures, then Camp Merkel is sure to be a popular choice. This camp covers tons of fun outdoor activities, ranging from BMX riding to sports, classic camp games, and explorations of nature. It's a great opportunity for kids to enjoy their favorite summer activities and make plenty of friends along the way. Weekly sessions begin on June 20, 2023, at the Dwight Merkel Sports Complex for kids ages 7–11. - Funshine Day Camp – 2111 W. Wellesley Ave., Spokane, WA 99207
Spokane Parks and Rec offers camps to suit every child, including those with developmental and physical disabilities. The Funshine Day Camp is a fun camping experience for kids of all ages, which blends learning with exciting group activities and socialization. There are one-week sessions beginning weekly starting on June 27, 2023, at Shadle Park.
